On airplane, life and depressurization

When airplane takes off and lands (flies), it performs very specific function, it moves from one point to another. Each time airplane flies, it goes through depressurization. When airplane performs its fundamental function and as a result goes through depressurization, it wears down its frame and composite, eventually expending its life cycle. In the context of an airplane - a vessel, depressurization when understood as change of inputs in phase diagram, is a result of work and expends vessel’s life cycle, say differently if controlling variables are altered to a specific degree to accommodate vessel’s fundamental function, this work will expend energy of the vessel.

Now borrowing from aviation and physics (Gibbs Free Energy and our biospheric function), if sustaining life requires system to control variables and avoid altering them, that is to exert internal waste to outside systems in order to retain and optimize system’s own life cycle, it also means that altering these controlling variables to a certain degree, that sustain life, will bear similar effect on humans as they do on vessels going through depressurization cycles. You cannot plan life exactly, but you need to sustain and manage it to make the most of it by controlling variables that keep you at optimal, healthy and functional levels. We shall also accept that altering these variables is when life happens and that is why we need to take care of controlling them most of the time, because due to unpredictable nature of life we are certain that we won’t be able to do so for most of the time and we know that in these times it will expend our energy. The only conclusion is that you need to give your life a reason, some function that is as simple and similar as that of an airplane, so that whenever life happens and expends your energy it is not for nothing but for something good. And defining “something good” is the most free and human thing we can do.

Second law of thermodynamics is the only universal crescendo. Entropy brings justice as heat death of universe. It plods and it is certain. Our justice is mere control of life until equilibrium settles in. When one commits to plod, they understand that road is uneven, full of disappointments that are to be taken seriously, and victories that are not celebrated. Plod will move them forward, as it is commitment to sacrifice. It happens when one’s sight extends to heat death of universe.

Supercriticality

Going supercritical - not in a nuclear fusion sense but in a supercritical fluid sense, although supercritical mass for nuclear reaction might end life, a hopeful view on where it began includes ocean pressures so high and temperatures so contrasting that supercritical fluid in a phase diagram supports a deep biosphere to exist - abiogenesis. A deep biosphere where metabolism is sustained and chemosynthesis propels life, where energy is created.
